Town Hall: Singapore Consultancy is talking strategy 2021

Steven Seow presented the results of a strategy review Singapore Consultancy did in collaboration with students from NUS during the most recent town hall on 13 November. For him the review reflected what matters most: working collaboratively and creating new opportunities for people within or outside the organization.

“Singapore Consultancy is growing and it was important that people can give feedback and make suggestions. We used structured interviews to make sure we touched upon different areas and gave our people ample space to talk,” explains Seow.

Steven Seow is also passionate about the impact Singapore Consultancy can make: “We started hiring students and graduates over the summer to support our young talent here in Singapore. With this review we worked with one of the professors and gave another four students the opportunity to learn about management consulting.”

Singapore Consultancy was set up from the very beginning as a social enterprise. The consulting services help Singaporeans in their job development or transition since 2016 when Steven Seow started the management consultancy.

The town hall included an educational part on ESG (environmental, social and governance) featured by Joan Yap who recently joined Singapore Consultancy. There was a lot of interest in adding ESG as part of the impact Singapore Consultancy can make.

James Tan gave additional input on good governance in his presentation about what matters to be serving as a Board Director. Singapore Consultancy has helped to source Board Directors in the Private, Public and People sector.
