The FinTech sector in Singapore is still quite young but at the same time already identified as an area where many new jobs will be generated. These new jobs will come with specific skill sets that require a strategic approach to develop a road map to educate or upskill Singaporeans to make the most out of these opportunities.
Singapore Consultancy initiated the idea to set up a panel discussion during Singapore FinTech Festival to help Singaporeans get a better understanding about the FinTech sector and how to prepare for new job opportunities. The panel was broadcasted live from EXPO Singaore and viewers were able to ask questions during the discussion.
Patrick Tay, Assistant Secretary General, NTUC, and Labour MP, Sopnendu Mohanty, Chief FinTech Officer, MAS, and Winnie Lim, Deputy CEO, IBF, joined the panel Gearing Up for New Jobs @ FinTech on 9 December that was moderated by Stefan Kuhn, Principal Consultant, Singapore Consultancy.
