About Singapore Consultancy
Founded in 2016, Singapore Consultancy comprises of a group of former senior executives from the Financial Services industry.
We have over 50 advisors in Singapore and Hong Kong, majority of which were former C-Suite executives with over 30 years of experience. Our youngest member is 23 years old and the oldest member is 75 years old.
Our advisors previously worked in Banks, Insurance companies, Asset Management companies, Sovereign Funds and FinTech companies. Currently, we deploy them on consulting projects with clients across Asia. Some of them also serve on Board of Directors and/or Board Committees in the social, public and private sectors.
Singapore Consultancy operates as a social enterprise.
On 13 February 2019, we received a special mention in the Singapore Parliament:
"[...] Singapore Consultancy, a new social enterprise. It helps older PMETs from the financial sector transit into freelance consultants, board directors and even advisors to charities. It has received support from WSG's Professional Conversion Programme and Singapore Consultancy is a model worth encouraging."

Our Origin & Philosophy
Credit Goes to Wayne Yang, Former Senior Advisor at Singapore Consultancy
Wayne Yang came up with the “tuning fork” concept in 2016 while having lunch with Steven over a bottle of Chablis in Hong Kong.
Singapore Consultancy consultants are industry veterans who are battle scarred. Just like the masters who tune the grand piano, this is a skill that comes with decades of experience. The tuning fork epitomises how our consultants help our clients to fine tune their businesses to achieve better results.
"Halftime: Moving from Success to Significance"
This is a book we highly recommend as it encapsulates what Singapore Consultancy stands for. Singapore Consultancy is primarily made up of senior individuals who have achieved the typical success in life, and are now looking to lead a significant life in the second chapter of their lives.
Ikigai (生き甲斐, pronounced [ikiɡai]) is a Japanese concept that means "a reason for being". The word "ikigai" is usually used to indicate the source of value in one's life or the things that make one's life worthwhile. The word translated to English roughly means "thing that you live for" or "the reason for which you wake up in the morning” 1.
How do we get to the intersection area of this Venn diagram? The answer lies in a Portfolio Career.
At Singapore Consultancy, we run 3 service lines for our members to achieve a portfolio career. In this model, our members are consultants to traditional Financial services Institutions that include banks, insurance companies and asset management companies, Board Directors and/or advisors to FinTech firms.
